Hi, I'm Emma
I'm a b*tch, I'm a lover
I'm a child, I'm a...
Jk.
I'm Emma. I love food more than anyone will ever understand - specifically cheese, chocolate, bread and pretty much every fat & carb combo you can think of - apple cider donuts, ice cream, the list goes on. Fats and carbs just go so well together. Don't you think? Why is is when I'm tasked to describe myself, I always talk about food? I guess if you want to learn more about me, you'll have to read my posts.

Good Reads:
Born a Crime by Trevor Noah
Hilarious but makes you think. Trevor Noah gives you a peak at what it was like growing up during apartheid in South Africa. Feels like he's talking while you're reading.
Where the Crawdad's Sing by Delia Owens
Very swampy and mysterious, but just good. Puts you in the shoes of the outcast. Lanie recommended this one to me.
The End of the Beginning by Michael Kinch
"These conventional therapies were sometimes effective but always legendarily brutal." --The author setting the stage for what traditional chemotherapies are like and why immunotherapy research is so important.
Educated: A Memoir by Tara Westover
About a girl growing up and her Mormon family. Just read it.
The Breakthrough: Immunotherapy and the Race to Cure Cancer by Charles Graeber
Made me laugh and cry. Lots of science explained like a story. Read the notes in the back of the book if you're wanting more science, but read as you go. They won't make sense if you save them for the end.
Becoming by Michelle Obama
Barack reads A LOT and even Michelle thought his name was weird.
Amity and Prosperity by Eliza Griswold
Recommended to me by a friend from Washington County, PA (aka the heartland of fracking) where this true story takes place. An interesting perspective on the politically conservative's investment in the health of Mother Nature.
